Imaging Services
Imaging Services at Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates
At Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates, we provide comprehensive imaging services to assist in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment planning for various medical conditions. Our cutting-edge technology ensures accurate and efficient results tailored to meet our patients’ needs. Explore the range of imaging services we offer:
X-Ray
Our X-ray technology is utilized to detect fractures, assess internal organs, and diagnose various conditions. It captures detailed images of bones and organs and helps monitor the placement of surgical hardware and spinal alignment.
Injections with Guided Fluoroscopy
This technique employs real-time X-ray imaging to precisely guide needle or catheter placement during medical procedures. Guided fluoroscopy is particularly valuable for procedures involving the spine, joints, and blood vessels, ensuring medication is administered accurately.
CT Scan
CT scans create detailed cross-sectional images of the body using advanced X-ray technology and computer processing. This scan is ideal for diagnosing a variety of conditions and is especially helpful for patients with hardware that may interfere with MRI scans.
Traditional MRI
Our traditional MRI studies produce high-resolution images of internal structures using magnetic fields and radio waves. We offer two types of MRI machines:
Regular Bore MRI: Standard-sized tunnel (60 cm diameter).
Wide Bore MRI: A larger tunnel (70 cm diameter) that provides greater comfort, making it suitable for larger, pediatric, and elderly patients. It also offers reduced noise during the exam.
Upright MRI
Our Upright MRI allows for imaging in a weight-bearing or seated position, providing more accurate results for conditions experienced while sitting or standing. The open design ensures comfort and can accommodate various postures. This MRI is ideal for diagnosing spinal disorders and functional assessments. Patients can even watch TV during their exam.
Mobile MRI
Our mobile MRI unit brings imaging capabilities directly to select locations, offering convenience and flexibility. Available in both regular and wide bore options, this service is perfect for pediatric needs, screening programs, or areas with limited access to fixed MRI facilities.
At CNSA, our imaging services play a crucial role in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions, assessing injuries, and planning personalized treatment plans for our patients.
