Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Troy Bouzakis, MHA, as its new Chief Executive Officer. Bouzakis brings extensive healthcare experience and a proven track record of driving transformational change, business resiliency, and technology innovation across various healthcare entities.
Background and Education
Troy Bouzakis hails from New York, where he developed a strong foundation in both academics and athletics. He attended Clemson University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. During his time at Clemson, he was a standout member of the Varsity Wrestling Team, serving as Team Captain for two consecutive years, and represented his peers on the Student Athletic Advisory Board. Bouzakis was awarded a full athletic scholarship for all four years of his undergraduate education, a testament to his dedication and prowess in the sport.
Furthering his education, Bouzakis pursued a Master of Health Administration from the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. Balancing his studies with full-time work, he demonstrated his commitment to advancing his expertise in healthcare administration.
With a career spanning over two decades, Bouzakis has spent significant time in Charlotte's orthopedic healthcare sector. His local experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the region's healthcare landscape. Now, as he takes on the role of CEO at Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates, Bouzakis is excited to return to Charlotte and further embed his roots in the community. He looks forward to leveraging his extensive experience to foster innovation and excellence in patient care.
Bouzakis has demonstrated exceptional strategic and tactical insight throughout his career, helping hospitals, private physician groups, Integrated Delivery Systems, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers navigate complex challenges. As a seasoned healthcare executive, Bouzakis has restructured and built companies, fine-tuned financial policies, and fostered strong relationships for corporate growth and profitability.
