For decades, Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates has been committed to the comprehensive care of all vascular pathology related to the brain and spinal cord. These types of conditions include aneurysms, arterial venous malformations (AVMs), atherosclerosis and acute strokes. Utilizing neuroendovascular surgery, which combines the skills of neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology, we are able to open clogged arteries in the brain and prevent strokes. Our practice also explores new methods for treating vascular disorders in the brain by participating in ongoing clinical trials.
Lifesaving neuroendovascular treatment is now available in Greensboro with the addition of fellowship-trained neurosurgeon Neelesh Nundkumar, MD. He is the first and only neurosurgeon in the Greensboro area to offer minimally invasive endovascular treatment for neurovascular disorders.

Dr. Nundkumar completed endovascular neurosurgery fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and Wayne State University. In addition to treatment of neurovascular disorders, Dr. Nundkumar provides diagnosis and treatment of brain and spine disorders, including the use of minimally invasive spine procedures.
