Biography

As a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA), Lacey Irias, DNP, FNP, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. With a strong foundation in nursing, she has specialized in neurosurgical care, driven by a passion for helping patients achieve optimal wellness through personalized treatment plans.

Lacey began her journey in healthcare as a surgical technologist, where she discovered her passion for working in the operating room. However, her desire to engage more directly with patients led her to pursue further education in nursing. After nine years of experience in various settings, including medical-surgical units and intensive care units, she decided to advance her career by becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her extensive background in nursing provides her with a unique perspective on patient care, allowing her to deliver compassionate and holistic treatment.

Her philosophy of care centers on understanding each patient as an individual, ensuring that their unique needs and health goals are met. “To provide compassionate care and help patients achieve optimal wellness, it's crucial to understand the individual's needs,” she says. This approach means prioritizing personalized care, respecting and empathizing with each patient, and offering the emotional support necessary for their well-being.

Lacey is proud to be part of CNSA, an organization she has admired for years. Having worked alongside its providers as a registered nurse, she was inspired by the team's dedication to improving patients' quality of life. "I have seen firsthand how CNSA cares for the community, and I wanted to be a part of that," she explains. "The improvements in patients' quality of life are incredibly rewarding, and I'm proud to contribute to such an extraordinary neurosurgery organization."

Originally from Louisiana, Lacey has lived in various places due to her father's service in the U.S. Air Force. Now, she calls Charlotte her home and is an avid supporter of Charlotte FC and the New Orleans Saints. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is also a dog mom to a sweet and spoiled rescue pit bull named Poppy.
